1. LOCATION AND SETTING
Address: 1120 Miner Street, Idaho Springs, CO 80452
The Miner Street Administrative Site is located at 1120 Miner Street and includes a 0.242 acre parcel within the city of Idaho Springs, Clear Creek County, Colorado 80452. Although the immediate block of the subjects location is residential, the adjacent blocks have a mix of commercial and residential uses. The property is a few blocks from the main street downtown area. Idaho Springs is 33 miles west of downtown Denver, CO. Elevation is approximately 7,600 feet.
2. SALE PARCEL DESCRIPTION
The Miner Street Site consists of one dwelling and one garage/warehouse. Both buildings have city water and sewer. The facilities are as follows:
Residence (2,440 sq. ft.) Constructed between 1939 and 1940, the residence features many original craftsman elements of the era, including a decorative staircase and trim, hardwood flooring and a brick mantel fireplace. The 1.5 story, 3 bedroom dwelling faces south towards Miner Street. It has a full basement under the east half of the structure, with crawl space under the remaining. The first floor contains approximately 1,253 square feet, and a half-second story has one large room with dormer space. The facility has served as the Ranger home for a number of years and was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Until recently, it was used as employee housing and storage. The house is currently vacant.
Garage/Warehouse (3,129 sq. ft.) The blonde brick garage was constructed between 1938 and 1939 and has five garage doors, including a high-bay garage. The building has a non-working bathroom, bunkhouse, overhead storage and storage closets. The building was used for storage, as a maintenance facility and a bunkhouse. The building is currently vacant.   ;
